Body Shops in VA
« on: March 10, 2016 - 09:56:21 PM »
:wavingflag: Ok guys, I need some help.  I have put almost every penny I have in parts in the challey and I am getting close. the Body is done ready for a final go over and paint.  I have the gaps almost perfect and will be painting the bottom, engine bay and interior surfaces myself.  I have been to several body shops in the Va beach and Norfolk area and the prices to finish body and paint have been ridiculous. anywhere from 10 to 25k.  I have done paint in the past but I want it too look as awesome as it will run.  My budget is toast and I need to find a good paint and body shop.. I was planning on 6 to 8k but am I dreaming?  Does anyone know of a good place to look within a 200 miles of Norfolk for quality paint without a concourse price? :banghead:
:wavingflag:  Quit being offended by everything, I am sure you are doing something that upsets me, but I am not complaining about you!!! It is a free county get over yourself!

If you are painting the engine bay, bottom and interior, that removes a lot of the painting, although those are not the areas that will be seen and scrutinized the most. I guess it depends on how much body prep. is involved. I too have a budget of around 8K, but I'm not really sure what that will get me. I still have to talk with a couple of body shops. Good luck in your search, let us know what you find out.
