Anyone using Baer Remaster brake master cylinder?
« on: March 08, 2016 - 08:26:38 PM »
They look pretty, just wondering if anyone is using one? I was going to go with a Wilwood unit but don't care for having to unscrew the cap everytime I want to check the level. This Baer unit looks better in that regard ? I have a modern Mopar M/C on now but it leaks and that drives me crazy ! I know these are spendy but for a quality product I'm ok with the price.  I'm planning on using hydraboost in the future.

$400 for a master cylinder? That sounds absurd to me! I need a new one as well, where did you get the modern one, Dr diff? I don't want to buy one that will leak either though

Yes but its the seals in the cap is the problem as I understand it?

I read the aftermarket caps are prone to leaking but the OEM ones are not.  Have you tried finding an OEM one?

I have a few OEM caps stashed away. Picked them up while a junkyard a few years ago.  I had the same problem with the newer MC...I don't believe they leak at all now.

Yours if you want them!

Yes sir!
Jason

What are they off of? What vehicles do I look for?  I have a buddy local that owns a wrecking yard but if I strike out there I'll take you up on your offer!  :2thumbs:

Good question...dodge... I have had them for years.  I was walking through the yard shortly after I got my MC, and heard that the factory caps were less likely to leak, I saw a few vehicles with them and grab several.
