 :driving:
73 numbers-matching engine is now out, awaiting overhaul... the spare 70 engine block back from shop with hone job, hot tank, new freeze plugs, new cam bearings, and lookin for paint... cam and crank installed over the weekend. Piston rings arrive Monday or Tuesday, and should have the cylinders plugged by next weekend. The 70's heads should be done next weekend... new valves, springs, seats, guides, etc... We'll see how the 2.02's work on this engine!!! Anxious to get it fired, to see how the .484 lift cam works... Hopefully, by end of June, will have all put back together and be able to cruise!!! Yeah!

Here is the 73 Cuda, and the block after the weekend work... will post more as get it re-engined and breathin fumes! Good work, all...!!!

The Dart is a 1970 318 that my friend bought local north of Wichita Kansas.
He bought it for his daughter, and she is now 14.  She picked the color.
I did the paint and body work for him.  The job was supposed to be a quickie, but we all know how those turn out.
My friend has went through a divorce, and the dart might make its way onto Ebay.  Depends on his X wife and how things fall.

Well after 7 1/2 years and 2 body shops jerking me around I finally found a guy who is actualkly working on the car. I will have it back by September or October in paint and ready to be put back together again!!. Its overwhelming to have someone work on your car that fast. I got so disgusted after the last 2 guys that I didnt bother getting things done that I should have (glass beading parts etc. etc.) I do have the motor and tranny done and need to start on the suspension and other stuff. Need brake and fuel lines as well. Will hopefully have it done for next spring or early summer.
Dont forget to register your AAR at the AAR Registry only at www.transamcuda.com 1981 AAR's on file. Also info on 70 thru 74 E-Bodies. Ask me about yours!!
