Swap meat season, late model rims that fit an e body
« on: April 03, 2016 - 10:40:46 AM »
I know this is an old topic, but I'm diving in... I really like the looks of some of the mustang "bullit" rims. The bolt pattern should be a match. I'm thinking the hub diameter is different. I carry a Ford aluminum spare space saver rim, and I had to file the hub hole to fit. That's something I don't to do make 4 of them work. I know I have seen Mopars running these rims and I wonder how they do it, do they use spacers or do they have the hole turned on a lathe? I could also get really interested in some late model take off rims from a challenger or charger if they are bolt on. It's now in the middle of swap meet season and I can always score a pretty good deal on the Mustang rims and even some charger and Challenger rims from time to time, if anybody has any input let me know what you think

I'd suspect (in addition to the hub hole ) that the offsets might be an issue and need spacers/longer studs?

Watch the offsets like mentioned. I, personally, am not a fan of any modern direct "take-offs" put on these cars. They just don't quite seem to get there for me. But to each their own!
