Choosing a street slick size
« on: June 01, 2005 - 12:19:44 AM »
I'm looking to purchase a set of street slicks but I'm not sure how large I can/should go. I have a 70 T/A the current tires are 27 inches high by 10 wide it seems like there still some room. However I'm not sure how much. Any idea's these are on a 15in wheel as well. Thanks

Just wondering, but I read where 2" is the maximum you should go over between wheel and tire width.  An 11.5" tire on an 8" wheel is way over that, you have had no problems?    Or am I reading it all wrong?  :dontknow:

I wish to put the widest and tallest tires under the rear of our '72, but want them to fit inside the wheel weels without having to jack it up, AND be safe.

Thanks
