Wiper motor crank pin
« on: April 06, 2016 - 11:07:10 AM »
Will a crank pin for a 73-74 Charger / Roadrunner fit with a 1970 Challenger linkage?

The reason I'm asking is that I need a wiper motor, but the ones on ebay are for 72-74 ebodies and b-bodies.
So I'm hoping to be able to use one of those with this crank pin:

The 70-71 linkage had bronze bushings, 72-74 has plastic bushings and required a shorter pin and larger diameter.  The crank arm you're looking for for a three speed will be PN 2822289.  72-74 output shafts on the wiper motors also had the small output shaft, which is fine, because it will fit all the crank arms where the large output shaft won't fit the 518, 635, 918 crank arms.  Heads exploding yet?  Believe me, I know, I go through it every day

Looks like 73440 either unknowingly did a pocket posting from his mobile phone, or had a stroke. ;-)
