I went back and forth on whether to rechrome my rear bumper or to buy new.  The main dilemma was that the closet chrome shop that does good work is two hours away.  I decided to get the bumper rechromed due to it was original to the car and the cost was $390 which was for the rear bumper and guards.  I got the bumper back on Monday and it looks great.

You want to contact David or Jonathan at Roseville Moparts and order Keystone bumpers. They are the best available on the market :2cents:

I'm guessing, but this might be the vendor that Topcat was thinking about.

I picked up a back bumper from them years ago, but still haven't put it on the car.

The guys I called- who are the closest to me- were insistent on knowing the year and model of car. I asked them why- and all they said was they needed to know bumper size.
I told them it was a 78 Cutlass.
They quoted me $400 each.

Called back 2 days later. Told them it was for a 70 Challenger- and WHOA- $900 each.

My car isn't a trailer queen, nor is it perfect. It's a nice solid daily driver if I want to drive it daily. I figured $600 for a nice set of new reproduction quality bumpers is fair enough.

Exact same issue i went through with my Challenger front bumper, $800 to plate locally or AMD shipped to my door for $225.

Wasn't a hard decision and the AMD bumper looks great!  Better than the TriCity rechromed rear bumper I paid $300 for 15yrs earlier.

Regarding those guys in Ontario, you would "think" that if you needed more work- as in not having enough- you would offer a discount or lower your prices to attract business, rather than raising your rates.

I wonder if those clowns are still in business?
