THANKS TO ALL OUR SPONSORS - OLD & NEW!!!
« on: April 19, 2015 - 10:48:26 PM »
Hey guys,

We have a couple new sponsors that I plan to introduce over the next few days, but before I do I'd like to thank the existing sponsors.  It has been our goal to keep this site fairly "clean" and only invite a very few sponsors to participate.  And, we only invite those companies that we believe you, the members, are truly interested in.  These are the companies whose parts and sales you really want to hear about.  All of those I will mention have been with us for years.  YearOne of course was a first day invite and has been here ever since.  Roseville Moparts participated in the forums even before we invited any sponsors, and also signed up at the very beginning.  Auto Metal Direct and Classic Industries joined somewhere along the way, but as I said have now been here for years.  Wood Grain Wheels and E-Body Products showed up somewhere along the way, but as with the others above, have now been with us so long they just feel like they are part of the site.

So, these sponsors are truly deserving of your attention.  They help keep the lights on around here, and listen to what you say in an effort to provide ever better products.  What could be better than that!

One of the things a sponsor looks for is a high class of loyal members.  And that's the reputation this site has.  I know some of you very well and have had you staying in my home, while others of you may not know me.  But I know the respect that exists on this site and some of the amazing things you've done in the past.

Keep up the high level of technical dialogue, honor the hobby we love, and please continue to support the sponsors that support us.

YEARONE, WOOD GRAIN WHEELS, CLASSIC INDUSTRIES, E-BODY PRODUCTS, ROSEVILLE MOPARTS and AUTO METAL DIRECT

Thanks.

Competition is a good thing for us as buyers.

It certainly lets you determine if shipping and leadtime is feasable or not.
The key here is to try to find out what makes one company different from the other.

What are their shipping costs and leadtime?
Did they deliver on the date promised?
Did they offer a 30 day price match comparison?
Service is something that certainly infuences the bottom line.
Price is important but you need to question and/or ask: "Why should I buy from you?

What I'm getting at is...be careful!
The 426 Hemi valve covers from one sponser here sell for over $700 dollars. Yet the same one's go for less than $200 elsewhere...same exact part!

I'm finding more and more now there are many vendors selling the same parts.....One stop shopping is helpful, but sometimes it pays to shop around... :2cents:

 :iagree:

And don't ever buy on emotion.
That's the worst way to ever by anything. Even if it's not Mopar parts related.

Cool off for a little and do searches. ask questions.

The only items that Year One can offer that Classic can't is the M & H wire harnesses and the custom wheels.
It takes almost 2 weeks for anything from Year One to get to the West Coast along with a really high shipping cost.

I have to give a shoutout to Jon at Roseville Moparts in MI. I was looking for a set of mirrors to put on my 70 Cuda but needed a longer base than the 70 mirrors. Although I got good info here on the forum there was still some different opinions over the 70 vs 71 mounting hole measurements and base measurements. I didn't want the hassle of just ordering mirrors and having to return them if they wouldn't work (like another supplier suggested) so I corresponded with Jon through emails and he sent me several closeup photos of the 71 mirrors I was interested in showing him holding a tape measure up to the mounting holes and base. The pictures were just what I needed to ensure they would work for me before I ordered them. I called Jon to order the mirrors and he was very informative, sent me the well nuts too in case I needed them, and gave me a Cuda-Challenger forum discount.

Great customer service is hard to find nowadays and Jon took the time to answer all my questions and actually pull a set of mirrors from stock to take pictures for me to ensure they were what I needed. With all the questions I had and emails I sent I'm surprised he didn't charge me extra.....lol

With the experience I had I'd recommend Jon and Roseville Moparts for any needs and I'm glad they are a sponsor here on the forum.
