Hemi Trans

I just bought some parts off this guy and asked me if I wanted to buy his 4 speed trans. for 100bux. It's in parts. What do I need to look for for it to be a Hemi or a AAR trans? He has a 69 440 Charger and came with a bunch of parts.

First make sure it has a mounted pad on the tail stock for E Bodies.
Then count the splines, is it 18 or 23....

AAR transmissions were the same as any other Cuda.

AAR & T/A manual trans had a different 1st gear ratio.

I've never heard of that before...Learn something new everyday I guess, thank you.

Please disregard my above remark, I guess an AAR does have a different transmission. It would still be a 23 spline though.

My tranny is an AAR.

The difference is 0.03  no wonder I never heard of it before...

In my book it is worth $100 as long as it turn over & is not total junk , even if it is the wrong one someone will want it
