I originally planned to fix all the sheet metal on my car.
Discovered the a pillar was basically shot and was brazed and I couldn't get all the brazing out.
I have decided to replace it and have went ahead and removed the old one. Besides painting the back side/inside car a pillar and using weld through primer on the spot welds is there anything else I need to do while in there?
I was doing some sanding work( prep for epoxy) on the roof and I noticed that it was vibrating/making an oil can type noise.
I seem to recall a fix for this with added additional bracing on the roof. I can't seem to find it now though. Anyone happen to have tackled this or can tell me the best way to fix it? (Edited to add: I found the post again. It was Johns Cuda Shop \that showed his method of using 3/8" dia rods fore and aft of the center support and it eliminated the concern I have).
I am also planning on doing some chassis stiffening. What points should I weld/what extra pieces should I buy to get the chassis as stiff as I can get?
