Help! Need torque specs for studded 440 motor
« on: November 09, 2002 - 04:46:08 AM »
I'm putting together my stroker 440 this weekend and lost my torque spec sheet. It has ARP studs on the mains and heads(stage 6), and the rods are a rare set of NASCAR Hemi rods with the factory 12pt bolts. Any help would be appreciated;  I'll be using the ARP moly lube when I assemble it. TIA

This may help but the specs I have are
 Mains-85lbs
 heads-70lbs
 Rods - 75lbs
These are stock specs not the specs for ARP studs though

I have the ARP studs both for the heads and for the mains on my 340. The torque specs are listed on the box. Being that mine is a small block though mine might be different, but I think they are very close to stock.
