Looks good! I've got a 74 myself and wish it was that shiny.

The paint and roof are from the 90's. it's holding up quite well considering! although it's always parked inside and never sees rain/salt. It doesn't see many miles each year, especially since i moved out of state. hoping to take it for a drive this year a couple of times, but last i remember the trans was acting up a bit (seemed to be slipping between gears somewhat), trying to line up a friend of the family to rebuild the 727 for the future motor upgrade. also the same friend can reportedly run through the 3.23 suregrip (verify it's in good working order/rebuild if necessary for the future improvements. currently it's a 318/904/2.72-ish gear setup. strongly considering a 440/727 with shift kit/3.23 suregrip upgrade over the next year or so. tossing around the idea of just getting the Holley fuel injection kit, for the price it seems fairly cost effective compared to the new intake/carb we'd have to buy anyways.

i find it surprising i don't see many with the white top, they all seem to be black tops.

Nice combo mate. My deceased brother's 73 Challenger was factory B5 with a white vinyl roof.
Shame it was repainted before being imported to Australia. Now it's white, with black vinyl roof, side stripes and bonnet black out.
Don't see many in the B5, shame as it's a great color

Cheers Brett

That's a bummer, blue and white look great together. FYI, In case you care 1973 and 1974 B5 are not the same color.

Thanks for that mate, no, I was unaware that 73 and 74 models were different. I knew the 70-71 models were. Thanks for the heads up

Cheers Brett

Interesting...I didn't know that there were different B5's.   Just looked on automotive touchup and the list:
1970 as AY3EB5
1971-1973 as AY2GB5 and
1974 at AY70KB5

Are other codes different also?  I have a 74 challenger I had painted Plum Crazy or FC7...

isn't it amazing that back in the 70's the challengers had a larger color choice than todays !!

And they were better choices than today....how many different shades of light grey and tan do we really need!?!?
