proper hood pin direction

71 cuda 340 shaker w factory hood pins, what is the correct direction and height these should the pins/holes be?

Pins run front to back, parallel with the fender. Height depends on whether or not you want to keep scratching your bezels :2cents:

Are those dimensions the same for Challengers?  If not what are the dimensions for Challengers.

Does anyone know of the pins that are twisted upright (instead of lying flat?)  I have an old set of upright pins that are worn and need replacement, buy i can't remember where I bought them from... I prefer the upright pins... easier, IMO, to remove and install.
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

FWIW
I bought those pins pictured above and like them, much better than what I had. They are SS as noted in description. The metal discs are no good, way to thin.
