I have a 1971 Barracuda with a 318 and have been thinking about a big block upgrade.
How difficult is it to find a 1971 440 block for my car? I don't ever see them for sale in my neck of the woods.

why would it matter what year is stamped in the block? I have a '71 in my 70 original 318 car, adds no value to the car if it's non matching.

It's mainly personal preference I suppose. I have a 71 318, 340 and 383... Plus a bunch of other blocks and parts, some guys collect beer cans.
I even started sonic testing them just for fun. I'm considering buying my own tester to save $$$.
