Timing Cover & Water Pump Bolt(s) Question
« on: June 09, 2016 - 01:57:02 PM »
Hi Guys,

I'm assembling the timing cover and water pump on my 340.  I don't know where any of the bolts go except for the 4 long ones that go into the water pump,

The kit below is what I have.  Can anyone tell me where each bolt goes?  Is there a diagram somewhere?
I know the 4 long bolts get sealer but does any of the other bolts get sealer?  Thanks

You only need a bolt thread sealer (pliable/non-hardening) on the bolts that DO enter the coolant passages.  The other bolts only need a light lubricant (I use trans fluid or lt-wt oil)... be certain to clean and chase/tap all the threadings.
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

See  MOPAR ACTION MAGAZINE, AUGUST 2006 ISSUE for featured article and details on my autocross T/A.
