Year One Rallye wheels
« on: May 04, 2015 - 03:33:37 AM »
Hi Guys

Anybody got any information on using Year One Rallye wheels, Looking at using these wheels 8x17'' front and 9x17'' rear with an Alterkation front end on my 70 Challenger. Can I use 13'' discs and 6 pot calipers.

From my research. No. I was going to put them over DR Diffs 13" rotors and cobra calipers. There is a post some where and a guy tried them on Dr Diffs 13" with the viper knock offs. They hit bad, he sold the wheels.

Did you call year one and ask what may or may not work?

"I recently had a meeting with the company who is making the wheels for Y1, and had brought up about brake size...and they pretty much said they "would fit bigger brakes" but they had never really designed them with any particular setup in mind.
(Also asked about why no 18" or other widths than 8" or 9" in the various cast wheels they do. )"

If they "Would fit bigger brakes" were the wheels reshaped or CAN they be reshaped?  Who makes them and can we get the right wheel from the Manufacturer?  13" rotor should fit inside 17" wheel...
