Hi everyone,
I've got a trunk lid that is in pretty good condition, externally.
When I tilt it, I can hear something (old flaky insulation? mouse crap?) shake from one end to the other.
I'd like to cut it somewhere, empty it, and refill it with (some kind of) insulation.
Any advice on how/where to cut and what to use to reinsulate? Some kind of sound deadener?
This is a spare part, sitting in my garage, so I'm willing to sort of experiment with it. I know new trunk lids aren't too pricey, but I've got a little bit of time, and am not likely to buy a new trunk lid anytime soon.
I've a few cutoff tools, a compressor and can get an opening welded shut again, just wondering how I should plan to start to attack it.
Thanks!
