Tailpipe problem
« on: June 27, 2016 - 08:53:08 PM »
I ordered a Magnaflow  kit #15852 and as I was mocking it up and I got to the tailpipes and found out they dump at the back corners. I thought they dump out the tail panel. Has anyone ever ran into this and what did you do? Its a 3" stainless steel exhaust so most exhaust places cant bend me one. Thanks

They mostly all do, I have the same one, the pipe after the over the diff, straight pipe angled at say 30' toward ground, then straightens up to go back, I cut and shut the angled straight section to raise the height of the exit pipe to be more in line with the rear valance, then fitted a set of tips, a bit of work but very possible

Is there anyway you could post or send a pic of the finished pipe? Thanks

PM sent,

if you have a look at the pic below, not a good pic, but the welds at the very bottom of the photo edge, is where I cut about 4-5" out of the pipe to raise the bend higher so as I could run the pipe out of the valance, I did install the MF 6x6 race mufflers in that pipe though, makes it harder to see, .
