IMPORTANT...Anyone looking to find a Mopar "Expert"
« on: June 07, 2016 - 08:55:15 AM »
I'm going to put some information out there in the coming weeks about a certain individual who regards himself as "an expert" when it comes to working on Mopars. My reasoning for this is two-fold.
First, to detail my issues after having dealt with this person as well as a couple of good friends whom I recommended to this "expert" and second- to warn potential Mopar owners so they won't become victims as we did.

A few bullet points...
-This individual has done (and may still) be doing work in the West Palm Beach area.
-This individual has a reputation for doing shotty work and ripping people off.
-This individual also has/is operating out of the State of Florida...in the Northeast section of the Country.

This will be more detailed in future segments.

Why wait weeks if you're going out him??? Save someone else the headache.

There's a flaw in your story.....

"YOU" chose to send your car to this guy for work to be performed ......
Then you state "This individual has a reputation for doing shotty work and ripping people off.

So my question is: If this guy has a "reputation" why would you choose him ? :clueless:
Did you do any research before hand ? :chatting:

The only good that will become out of this thread is that if you post his full name or his business name... future potential customers will find your story by Goggling his name and will be able to make a better informed decision. :2thumbs:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Understood and agreed.
I'm waiting to get my vehicle back from having everything that was done half-assed and incorrectly fixed. I had worked on the car myself after getting it back from him, but had back/spinal surgery, so it kinda put a dent in my ability to get dirty for several months- hence the hand-off to a reputable/ honest guy and the discoveries of his shotty work.

As for researching him, yes, in fact I did. Seemed pretty straight-up, nice shop, several other Mopars being worked on...
Turned out, he was in it for "himself and the dollars" and not at all worried about who's vehicle was being worked on.
I had even bought parts from him a couple of years prior- while I was rebuilding my car- and he seemed knowledgeable and on the level.

You mention that you are waiting to get your car back, is this person still working on your car to fix the crappy work?  If so, then I can understand why you have not disclosed the name.

Nope, the guy is not out of Tampa. I recently got my car back from a different (and much more honest/ reliable) mechanic who took his time to get everything right that was done half-assed and wrong.
