340 Fuel pump Question
« on: July 01, 2016 - 11:18:56 AM »
Hi Guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my fuel pump for my mildly built 340. Which fuel pump would you recommend? Or if you have other suggestions I would welcome those also. Thanks

Why the upgrade?  Are you having fuel flow issues now?  Do you have a regulator?  Have you tested your fuel pressure?  What carb and size of line are you running?

Just about to put the 340 into the car.  It ran fine before I removed it for paint.  That was about 2 years ago. It's out for paint now so I'm building the engine on the K member along with the trans on a jig that I fabricated.  I'm running an Edelbrock Thunder series 650 carb.  Yes, I do have a pressure regulator if needed.  I like the fact that the base on the pump is clockable in case I have space issues.  But if it's overkill let me know.  Plus I wanted one that would look good and not corrode.   Thanks

I like the Carter high flow, or you could go with a Carter stock pump.
