1973 tail light panel
« on: December 03, 2016 - 09:31:27 PM »
Tried searching around could only find 70-71 and cuda tail panels.  Does anyone make one for a 72-74 challenger.  I'm about 10 spot welds away from just a quick in and out.  The original one is a bit rusty. No holes or anything but it dose look like somebody broke into the truck during the life of the car.   Just trying to weigh the time and money balance to fix.  Thx

Based on the photo, you'd be way ahead to simply repair the minor damage to the oem once versus replacing it with an aftermarket one. Just my  :2cents:

I never found one for my other '72 and had to repair the rusted one on the car. Donors are usually rusted as well.

I guess every now and then I get lucky.   I went looking for the cuda trunk lock I remember cutting out of one of my parts cars and I found one for a challenger. It's a little rust but the sand blaster should fix that

One more question about tail panel. The top edge has some damage right in the centre and I'm not sure if it' has caused it to bow or if that's how it's suppose to be. Any input?
