TX9 Option
« on: August 24, 2006 - 01:13:12 PM »
Has any one ever seen this option before? The seller states: "It is the only B5 blue 4 speed vinyl top delete (code TX9) known to exist with this ultra rare option"........  2 tone (Blue / Black)........  Very nice, by the way......

It is not a 'vinyl top delete', the 'V02' code denotes two-tone paint; B5 is the body color and TX9 is the top color, if the car was all one color the code would be 'V01' and you would see B5 denoted twice for the body and top respectively.  Interestingly what makes this car even MORE rare and the seller doesn't even mention it is the fact that it is a two-tone interior as well; notice its not a standard black/white (H6X9) interior, but an extremely rare blue/white (H6BW) interior!!!  I've only heard of one other car with that interior and it is an AAR.

I only know of one AAR with the H6BW interior as well and there is a broadcast sheet waiting to be claimed for it. No one knows where the car is now, it sold years ago and went to Canada..........  :dunno:

T/A, you got the b/s for that? wow, I'll bet the owner would kill for that!  There are also two red AAR's with the two-tone red/white (H6EW) interior, I found a pic on the internet once and it looked awsome. btw...you wouldn't by some miracle have the b/s for BS23H1B116776 would you??? Thanx!

Hey FM3V6M - if that's the VIN on your Cuda, you own my old car! I've got paperwork and pics from the mid 80's to early 90's for you. PM me!

Ten year old thread. Last active a few days ago though.

Would love to see pics of the fender tag of this car.  We could add it to the "lets see those V code's" thread.

Yeah, I was a bit hesitant to revive an old thread, but I thought it would be better than starting a new one. I was hoping the guy who asked about a build sheet for that VIN would still be a member here and would respond. I would have to grab the old photo album to see if I have a pic of the fender tag - I'll look this weekend.d

Just thought it would be a good opportunity for the owner of the car to get some detailed history going back to the early 80's. I may even know where the original 340 is.

It's FM3V6M who says "you wouldn't by some miracle have the b/s for BS23H1B116776 would you???" so I assume it's he who has that car. Maybe I read it wrong. In any event, if anyone knows who has the car with that VIN, I've got the info.
