Hydro-boost on a 71 Challenger
« on: July 20, 2016 - 02:02:02 PM »
Hi all, first time I'm posting something.  I have a 71 Challenger that I'm ready to do the brakes system on. I purchased one of the popular "conversion kits" that are out there but I'm not real happy with it.  Has anyone ever put a Hydro-boost setup on an older E-Body?  If so, what donor car did you get it from? Would love to know.  Thanks, Joe

As noted, Astro van, Suburbans, many heavy trucks of all makes and late 90s to early 2000s Mustangs with the mod motor.
What is the purpose of you converring it?

There have been many discussions here on the subject. so feel free to search. This place is awsome

And welcome to the site. What! First post and no pics? Lol.
We require pics. Haha

I converted mine several years ago with the Mustang one.
Did a lot of jy shopping and pulled a lot of cars and trucks apart with them. Found that most all the "body" portions were the same. I suspect they all are from the same maker. Most shafts that attach to the pedal were basically the same lengths. Differences were in the eye diameters. You need an adapter bushing anyway. The mounting variations were only the adaptor plates they use to bolt to the firewall.

Not just a bolt in because things have to be fabricated. But overall not that difficult.

Removing the warning labels one at a time.
Nature will take care of the rest.
