Hood mounted shaker
« on: July 15, 2016 - 12:56:08 AM »
I have a 71 Hemi Cuda and want to run a Hilborn stack injection system and still have the shaker hood look.  Has anyone mounted the shaker bubble to the hood or know of anyone that has done this and how it can be done?

I've done a very small amount of research as I've thought about doing the same.  From what I've found so far is the edelbrock fuel injection kit has the throttle bodies in the same spot and height as the dual quads so the shaker base and air cleaner will all bolt down as per factory

Hillborn injection doesn't use throttle bodies like that.

Ya, you can use panel adhesive to "glue" that bubble to the hood.  I'm sure it will stay put.

These guys also offer fiberglass hoods with a shaker bubble molded into them. Scroll down the page a little, there is both a lift off and a bolt on option: https://www.aarqualityfiberglass.com/catalog/637
