Help with mystery hole
« on: July 20, 2016 - 09:39:16 PM »
I think wiring goes through this hole, so that's why I'm posting this in the Electrical section, but I could be wrong.  While it looks like a hole for a wiring grommet and wiring, I don't seem to have any wiring missing so I'm at a loss.  Please view the attached photo.  It's on the passenger side in front of the door hinges (visible in the picture) and behind the rear edge of the front fender.  What goes in this hole?  It goes through into the passenger compartment behind the passenger kick panel.  Some wiring or a body plug maybe?  The service manual wasn't any help.   :feedback:

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

That could be it.  Hadn't thought about that but the antenna is on the passenger fender.  Any other ideas or is Brads70 correct?  :feedback:

Make sure you use a rubber grommet if you put any type of wires through there.

There should be two clips attached to the back of the cardboard glove box liner that the antenna cable clips into on its way to the radio.  For installation, have the dash assembly sitting on the two side bolts in the kick panel area.  You can then reach down from the top and make the antenna/blower motor connections before rotating the dash assembly up into place.
