A couple of things you may want to have on hand for 1st fire...
Vacuum gauge
Adjustable timing light (you can change the advance on it so you don't have to mark balancer or add timing tape for bigger cam idle timing)
Tachometer (my timing light has tach built in) so you can read RPM from under the hood
Wet towel or fire extinguisher in case of backfire flame up
Make SURE throttle linkage is free and closes all the way with springs, and someone to turn key off to kill engine if needed! Throttles have stuck open before!
Safety glasses because fan blows a lot of air and particles when engine starts, and watch out for fan blades, belts, and pulleys with clothing, fingers, elbows, etc...
Safety first!
