70 CUDA How to Wire Factory Harness to Ready to Run MSD
« on: July 25, 2016 - 08:09:05 PM »
Hey guys,

my first mopar and car was totally ripped apart so having a bit of a tough time with things.

I have a 440 and a brand new factory engine harness for a 1970.

With the MSD coil wires hooked up and the factory harness ones on the car will not stay running.

I jumped the coil + to the battery + and it runs fine.

My question is how do i utilize the factory harness to give switched power to the coil?

Thanks

Anthony

Hello Anthony

there are two wires on your BR ( ballast resistor )  a blue and a brown one....  you must splice them together.
and then you connect these wires to the   positive side of the coil.. also the red wire from the Distributor... the Orange one goes to te negative side of the coil...black to the chassis

Greetings Juergen

BTW..  you don´t need the BR with a RTR MSD Distributor..   remove him
