And I had some trouble getting the sill panels on, and installed so that they weren't catching the door panels when I opened and closed the doors.  Because of the extra thickness.  Extra trimming and a friend helping me push down the sills while I installed the screws were what it took to deal with that issue.
The pain and extra time were well worth it though!


Yes, I got the same mass backed carpet and you're right, the sills took a little bit to get on. I'll add, this is probably the most critical area to pay attention on. If you trim too much, well then the sill won't cover the gap. So the carpet needs to be CAREFULLY trimmed, a little at a time. Then I shaved off a little of the carpet fibers so it would tuck under the door sill. A little work but I am very pleased with the outcome.  :2thumbs:

ACC all the way, the soldering iron is a great way to get those pesky holes.

I started the hole from the outside then finished on the inside to enlarge the hole. Looks pro now.
