Steering box adjustment
« on: August 18, 2016 - 05:57:49 AM »
I have a 73 challenger with power steering. All the suspension parts have been replace. There is still a lot of play in the steering wheel. Can the steering box be adjusted or do I need to replace the box. Thanks

:iagree: I did this same adjustment to my 73 (it had a rebuilt steering box, out of adjustment out-of-the-box) fixed the problem. Check your steering coupler too.

OH and go slow...you can take that adjustment to far and it makes the steering worse.

Adjust with the wheels centered , this is the tight part of the gear mesh
