'71 Cuda - Throttle Cable Bracket
« on: August 09, 2016 - 11:19:53 AM »
'71 Cuda w / 440 / 727 Automatic Set-up
I'm trying to ensure that I don't have to take my intake back off by making sure that I have the correct throttle / transmission kick-down cables mounting bracket attached before I bolt my intake on.  Can anyone post up some pictures of their throttle / transmission kick-down cables mounting bracket that gets bolted to the intake?

There was never a 1971 Cuda manufactured with a 440 4bbl 727 auto.
You would have to look at a 1970 set-up. If you have a six pack, then that's a different story.

The brackets go on top of the intake, so you wouldn't have to remove the intake, maybe a couple of bolts.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

anlauto - '71 Cuda w / 440 / 727 Automatic Set-up was just in reference to what I am working on.  I'm not looking for an OE correct picture.  I'm sure that someone out there is currently running a '70 - '74 Cuda with a 440 4 bbl w / 727 automatic.

I understand that the bracket sits on top of the intake manifold (rear two bolts on the driver side) but I do not want to remove these two bolts from my intake at a later date to install a bracket that I can put on now with the intake.  I'm just trying to obtain information on the correct bracket to install.

The type of bracket you are going to use will depend on if you are going to be using the one piece later type long rod or the 3-piece rod earlier kick down linkage
