SB 727 needs new lines. How hard is it to do DIY?

Shouldn't be ...Just make sure you hold the fitting with a wrench while you tighten them.. I twisted a line once not doing so.

I I'd advise you to disconnect your battery while doing so...

I have a 360 car with a 727 and a previous owner cut off the steel lines and replaced with rubber.  I dutifully bought new SS lines, but they are bent to fit the box.  The last time I had the car in the air, I couldn't figure out the routing and which bends needed to be unbent, so I put them back in the box and decided it was a winter project!

I've since bought a used original service manual from Amazon ($2.99 - LOL), which will make it much easier to tackle the job!

The hardest part will be fishing the new lines between the K-member and the engine.  The exhaust and the floor pan will be in the way.  There might be some swearing involved but it shouldn't be too bad.   The lines run right under the power steering belt.  It might be a good idea to remove that belt so there is one less thing for the new lines to get snagged on.
