does anyone know the size of the set screw to mount the automatic shifter handle, on a 71 cuda

Take the handle with you to Lowes or Home depot. Its in there in the fastener section. That's where I got mine. Sorry, I don't have the size in mind right niow

The metal shifter piece is what is threaded and I think the OP is trying to determine the thread size/pitch. The handle only has a hole for the set screw and I think not useful for determining this.
