You should take a look at one of these to get your heater hoses out of the way

I have one, just have to put it on!

I like the clean / simple black steel valve covers , I would have swapped left to right & had a short run to the PCV & the breather at the front .

On a related note, any danger of melting electrical wires if they are running along the intake? I'm planning on making a few brackets to be safe. I've seen a ton of engines with wires laying on top and always wondered if they'd eventually burn through...

not likely if you used the 1215 intake gasket or somehow blocked off the heat cross over port but if the exhaust gasses are going through the intake yes they will melt , always a good idea to keep wiring off the intake which is why most valve covers had the tabs to hold wiring
