    No spark....

    340, Mopar orange box electronic ignition
    Running fine then died
    power to positive side coil and negative (took readings with meter)
    tried new ballast resistor
    tried new coil
    no spark to distributor.
    Block grounded
    new starter relay and all connections appear to be tight
    THey gave me this resistor not his one-does it matter?
    any thoughts?

    do you have an ohm meter that you can use to check the resistance of the distributor magnetic pick up coil? Also are you checking for spark output at the ignition coil wire?

    The above two statements I don't understand.
    There should not be power on both sides of the coil... If you do there is an 'open' in your ignition wiring.
    Not sure what you mean by 'no spark TO the distributor"? Coil secondary wire to ground? If so, probably caused by having power on both sides of coil?

    With the key on when you unplug the dist you should get a single spark .
     check reluctor gap [.008]
     either ballast will work
     ECU may have quit , orange box are not made like they used to be , you may want to look at  Revnator box

    I was told that if I run a meter wire from negative terminal battery to positive side coil and try to start I can measure reading, I did
    then from positive battery to negative side coil and try to start and I did so that meant ECU was giving power to coil. I will look at ECU tomorrow-thanks
