Another grounding question
« on: September 23, 2016 - 10:19:03 AM »
On our 73 Cuda there is a flat braded copper ground wire from the firewall to the block, I don't see one on our 70 Challenger ( which is new to us). Should I add one? Everything electrical seems to be working properly for now.

On the 70 there should be a ground from the battery to the engine & from the battery to the body that bolts to the radiator support....

It's not going to hurt if you add one.  Not all years had them.  My 73 was built in October of 72 and does NOT have one.  If your car isn't a stock restoration type deal, then I'd add it.  If the car originally came with one, you'd see a hole in the firewall where the bolt would attach.

My 74 has the strap that bolts to block and then to one of the firewall mounting bolts of the vr.
Removing the warning labels one at a time.
Nature will take care of the rest.
