70-71 center consoles
« on: September 24, 2016 - 02:56:15 AM »
What should one expect to pay for a good condition original center console (automatic with missing wood grain panel insert) from a 71 Barracuda?

Do they reproduce these?  If so, is it easy to spot an original over a repop?

Thanks.

They do reproduce those, the 71 is the same from 71-74 the 70 is a one year only so worth a little more.
as for value depends on condition, color etc.

I don't know about spotting an original from an aftermarket. I am also curious about this as my console was in many pieces and I am in need of one.
1970 Barracuda project in the making!

I'm looking at one here locally that is in good condition and is black.  Is $200 fair or too much, if original?
