Coolant Block Plug For My 340 With Pics
« on: September 28, 2016 - 01:50:26 PM »
Hey Guys,

Anyone know what size these coolant block plugs are and where I can get the correct ones?  All I can seem to find is fine threaded plugs and the block has course threads.  I've tried everywhere, Summit, Jegs, Amazon, Home Depot, Autozone, etc.  I hope you can help me. It's for my 340.

Oh the old ones were too corroded to use so I chucked them.  I didn't think it would be such a big deal to get them.  Thanks

Dave

1/4 NPT (or 3/8 NPT)  available at any hardware store.

Yep, pipe thread.  They were originally zinc plated and installed after the engine was painted.

NPT stands for national pipe tap, its a standard thread . There are no other threads unless your dealing with European stuff.
