Welcome from New York.  It's amazing how the Internet and this site can close the distance between people working on their E Bodies.   Nice to see the smile o bathe little guy's face too.  Good luck with your build!

Maria is from Hungary.

We plan to go back to Budapest and visit her family again.
Maybe we can meet then?

Might be a long time till we plan going, but it's in the plans to do so.

egeszsegedre!

Thanks guys!
Yes the internet makes things possible.

Topcat,
Who is Maria, your wife?Would love to hear her story how she got there. Why wait for a long time?Time is way too short to wait.
We are going to New York City next May the 4 of us.It will set me back a lot on my "Cuda dream" but making my wife happy is priceless just as my 14-year-old daughter's dream come true by going there.

Köszönöm!

It's an amazing story how she was able to get to America.
It could probably be made into a movie. this is the short version.

If you heard it from her directly, it would be 10 times better than what I wrote.

Left her Dad where she was living with her 5 year old daughter after he warned her not to leave at a very young age.
Snuck away with 5 year old daughter after a divorice one early morning to a train.
Snuck by the train conductor when they asked for Passports at the Austrian border
Stayed in Vienna Austria getting connections to the U.S. from friends and relatives.
Then stayed in Venice for a while. Finally got the connection to N.J. living there.
Had a small place in a Hungarian community and was able to get a job at a nut and bolt company.
Taught herself to speak English watching Sesame Street everyday after work.
She refused to hang out with the Hungarian community because she knew she would learn English as fast.

Then became a waitress later when she knew English.
She lived in Minnesota for a while and became Married. Then she became an American Citizen. Her husband was transferred to Fremont, CA Ford plant in the 80's. Maria became an Apartment Office manager by then.
Later in the early 90's, he died of a brain anerism.

We met at a wedding of my buddy I grew up with. I blew my knee out a week earlier. I was on crutches dressed up. Our eyes met and we've together ever since. I blew my knee out mounding dirt around Potatoes.
So we do love out Potatoes and each other very much.

Maria despises Colin Kaepernick for not standing up to the National Anthem. She's a true full blooded American.

That's quite a story. She was lucky to manage to get through all the borders without papers, guess it was meant to be!
We have been trying to immigrate as well but no such luck so far so we just keep getting our dose of the USA by visiting as much as we can afford.

Which side? Buda or Pest?
