Cooper Cobra Radial GT Tires
« on: October 14, 2016 - 07:34:23 PM »
I need to buy a new set of tires for my 70 Cuda.  I currently have BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on the car.  I have read recently that the New BF Goodrich Radials have had some issues with the white letters turning brown so I am considering a set of Cooper Cobra Radial GT's.

From an esthetics point of view both tires look the same.  From a price point of view the Coopers are about $50 a tire cheaper so that is attractive as well as I have not heard about any issues with the Coopers having issues with white letters turning brown.

Does anyone on the board have experience with these tires?  If so, can you share them, good or bad?

-Thanks

I researched Coopers and they look like a good tire.

I decided with Mickey Thompson's Sportmans and they are lasting well.
They have a better weight load rating. A little bit harder durometer than I would like.

60's side walls are beginning to get scarce on brand options out there.

I have the Cooper Cobra's on my car. Only bad thing I notice over the BFG or Goodyears I used to have on there is they seem to pickup more dirt, small stones, etc and throw it up onto the car.

I just bought a set of these 3 weeks ago from Sears.  Had the put on somewhere else.   $360 for 5 14" 70 series tires shipped.  There was some Internet deal.

Only have 50 miles on them.  No complaints so far.
