Oil Filter Housing, 340
« on: October 24, 2016 - 06:41:02 PM »
I didn't look at my 318 oil filter housing before I dumped the block, so what is supposed to thread into this hole on the oil filter housing?

The previous owner had set the motor up for a 71 duster, if that makes any difference.

For my filter, there's a pair of fittings threaded into that spot on the housing that connects to the oil pressure gauge on the dash.

Well that might explain why the new oil pressure sender I ordered is that size. I though the sender on my 318 was on the top of the block, IIRC. Thank you for the response.

Thanks for the reply. Good to know that I have options.
