OEM Spark Plug Wires
« on: October 30, 2016 - 01:12:56 AM »
So I was at a car show today.  Bought OEM Chrysler spark plug wires.  They are a "Authentic Mopar Product"  They say Chrysler and have burnt orange caps...the soon to be color of my car.  Herbs has it....

http://www.herbsparts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=6218-703

I was told they are 7mm

I have a stock 340 with a very mild cam, 2.02 heads and an Air Gap Edelbrock intake.  I also have mopar performance ignition (orange box)

My question is, are these wires any good? Has anyone ever used a set? I have 8mm wires now and seem to work fine, I like the look of the new ones.

Any opinions out there?

THANKS!!!

I ran date coded OE style wires for years.. They were fine for the first 40,000 miles, then they started breaking down.... Just like any other plug wire will do...

Carbon core VS spiral core , they work fine but you may find 1-2  of the wires are too short to reach
