Alignment after new Leaf Springs?
« on: November 10, 2016 - 04:13:07 PM »
got the stock ESPO leafs on order, do I need to get my car realigned? I just raised the front end up to stock height with new TBs.

If the front end height was changed, you should have the alignment looked at.  If you didn't loosen the LCA nut before you raised the front end, the bushing could be preloaded at ride height.  Loosen the nut so the bushing centers itself, then retighten the nut.

I had it aligned after installing the TBs. any reason to do it again for the rear springs?

i couldn't think of a reason why I'd need to, but I figured I should ask the experts.

Technically it should be checked with the adjustment of ride height. It'd also be nice to know if the rear axle is centered and perpendicular to the centerline of the car (thrust angle).

Well, if the ride height in the back changes it does change the caster reading up front (even if nothing in the front changes). But if the rear height doesn't change too much it probably doesn't matter. Won't change the camber or toe, and unless you add or subtract a lot of rake the caster won't change dramatically.
