What's it worth: 426 Hemi/440+6 M/T trans mount
« on: October 29, 2016 - 08:34:21 PM »
I have a 426 Hemi/440+6 trans mount.

These are the ones that were painted yellow.
The word yellow is on it.

They had more material and a harder durometer rubber.

These are pretty rare.

What's it worth?

Certainly you've recognized this as an exclusive part for high end restorations.

I haven't seen one sell in years. I do have a can of yellow paint I use on the black ones though.

I had a NOS, date coded, '68 trans mount that sold for $20 a couple years ago. I doubt they have gone up much since then.

Condition matters with any rubber part that has age on it.  New or used you'll want to look it over to see how it has held up over time.  But haven't seen one for sell in a long time.  Maybe $100 to $150 or so seems in the ballpark.  New ones can go from $20 to $50 for okay ones to well over $100 for a high quality one.  But a can of yellow paint goes a long way for those that want the correct look that can't find a NOS yellow text one.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
