70' Challenger 73' 440

Hello !

A question about engine, I have a 70' Challenger with a 73' 440 : Toker 2 intake, 780 CFM Holley, stainless exhaust, MSD 6AL,

So questions : my camshaft give to the engine a 9:1 compression or its the compression needed to use this camshaft ?
For exemple if I install this camshafht : http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/cam-specs/Details.aspx?csid=703&sb=2
it will give my 10:1 compression ?

do you thing its a good choise for my 440 ?

Camshaft does not give your engine compression. that has to do with the pistons (dome, flat top or dished), block (deck height), and heads (combustion chamber size).

they are saying the minimum requirement for that specific camshaft to work correctly, a camshaft will effect the compression ratio because of overlap letting some of it out. the cam that requires 10-1 will let too much of the pressure out on a 9-1 engine and you will loose power.

As for EFI there are several out there, I personally haven't ran any yet but have looked into it. The Holley system seems to be over rated according to reviews.
FiTech seems to be a pretty decent alternative. but if at all possible multi port is the way to go.

Didn't really like the Fitech style, I really like the Holley Sniper, sound great for me, okay for the camshaft thanks a lot !
