Small Block Shaker Intake Question
« on: June 23, 2016 - 10:09:17 PM »
Hey guys,

Can those that have shaker cars with small blocks let me know what intake fits the best under your shaker to fit the hood properly?  I want an aluminum intake not the original cast intake.

Thanks
Dave

I put an Eldebrock on my 383 that was basically a stock replacement and used a 1/2" heat spacer. You could use this one thats for small blocks ...  http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/mc/manifolds/chrysler/performer-sb.shtml

Mine 70 cuda with a 340 shaker has a air gap intake manifold I think it may sit a touch higher than stock but I'm pretty happy with it

I currently have an Edelbrock LD340 with a 1/2" carb spacer. I will be putting the correct 3512100 intake on my 71 when I restore it next year.

Here is the front and rear height of the factory intake that may help you when deciding.
