Glasstek bolt on cowl hood
« on: December 02, 2016 - 09:50:56 AM »
Does anyone know what this hood is worth? I bought a project car with this hood on it and do not plan to use it. I want to sell it but don't know what it is worth and can't find any info about it on Glasstek's website for pricing info.

Not sure how much but I commend you on taking it off! Rest of the car looks killer.

I don't care what anyone says, those hoods still look good on a Mopar.

I'll take a wag, seeing that a decent TA hood would be $800, I'd say you might get 25% of that or $200 from the right person.
Since it's bolt on, it's probably heavy, and most people looking for that type of hood are looking for something lift off and light

I don't care for the ones with the chevy rib down the middle, but I think flat top versions look decent. It actually blends in well with the stock R/T bulge.

Glasstek bolt on hoods are $480, 4" cowl scoops are $120, installation is $240, total cost $840.  Someone may be willing to pay near $600 for it, but you'll be sitting on it for a while to get that amount. As evidenced by the replies here, not many like that style. If you really want to unload it quick, $200. I'm sure the cowl could be cut off and replaced. Average starting price point may be $400.
