70 Fish Behind the grill
« on: September 14, 2016 - 03:39:50 AM »
Ok my fish is lime light green behind the grill nice and  clean etc etc nice grill red bars and so on .BUT i am thinking its   2  much and it would look better if the radiator panel was blacked out . I have no idea which way it came from the factory .  I do know that not all of the panel was blacked out any thoughts

Thanks for your reply Katfish .IF it was a 71 cuda or a challenger i would not worry about it . because the grill seems to hide a lot of that panel

I thought they stopped the cowl blackout something during 70 production. :dunno:

All paint colors other then black and dark blue were "supposed" to receive the rad support blackout.  Another area that was supposed to be blacked out were the rocker pinch welds.  This is a pet peeve of mine.  The pinch welds are very ugly and stick out like a sore thumb when they are left body color.  The factory could have sprayed or brushed black paint on the pinch weld area.

One my pet peeves......I see so many high dollar cars on ebay motors w/ body color showing through the grille. So simple to do and yet very few do it.

My cowl never had any blackout on it. Not a big deal on dark cars. Think I read a bulletin where it was not required on some colors but here is an EF8 with the blackout on it.

I think mine looks better body color.  :stirpot: :poopoke: :ylsuper:  :bricks1:
