The long grey molding that is below the door and is on the sill panel on a 70 cuda IS it made of plastic ?? or made of fiberglass ?? Are they all sliver or sliver and black ? I Have a good clean set on my car ,but not sure if after each step it should be blacked out thank you in Advance

I believe the originals were made of plastic. I also believe they were all silver, the "gills" cast a shadow giving them a darker appearance in that are. That said, it has been a long time since I say a real unmolested set so I could be wrong.

I'm not sure exactly what they are. They seem to almost be a cross between fibreglass and plastic. I believe the way they were painted at the factory is the rear openings were painted black and then the moulding was sprayed argent at an angle from the front without masking. This way the factory got the rear surfaces to be black without using a mask, think assembly line efficiency and cost. That's what they seem from originals I have had anyway. Back when there were no repro parts I fiberglassed this one together from it being broken into three parts.
