Thanks guys for the reply!  I know there is no way to get it "perfect". But I had to close up the gap just a little bit. I just said screw it! I cut 1/2" out of the lower valance down the center and re-welded it back together today!. Ill finish it tomorrow. I have to close up the one oval hole one on the right side of the picture, and install another one about a 1/2 away. now that I cut a piece out you can see what I mean by the picture I added. It did help a lot. Mine was out too far. At least too far for my liking!

Do you plan on cutting the plastic lower valance insert as well ?

 No . I did test fit before I welded it and , believe it or not It still fits without any mods to it!

Keep a tab on pictures and what you've done.

Once it's done, show us more details.

will do! Mine from the start was ,  judging from other car photos too wide. By me taking the 1/2" out it probably is closer to what most other fender to grille gaps are looking like.
