non-rallye tach
« on: June 24, 2005 - 09:07:18 AM »
I just bought a tach for my non-rallye cluster.  It looks like it will pop right in the smaller far right opening where the clock would normally be.  I've only seen a picture, it really looks factory, but is described as new.  Could you get a tach in a non-rallye dash back in the day or is this some aftermarket piece?  I'm thinking it's aftermarket.  Has anyone used one of these and if so, is it accurate?

Here's an example of Sunpro Mini Tach into the clock opening on a non-ralley dash.  Came from this post: http://www.cuda-challenger.com/smf/index.php?topic=8118.0

That Sunpro doesn't look too bad.  But the one I've ordered looks exactly like the other stock gauges.  I'll post a pic once I get it.

That's it.  The needle has a point at the end where the other factory gauges are squared off at the very end.  I'd also like it better if at had RPM along the bottom like the other gauges.  Their oil pressure gauge says OIL at the bottom.  I'm trying to keep the car as stock as possible.  I'd like a rallye dash but they are difficult to get.  What do you guys think of the little tach?  Do you think only a Mopar person would know?
